Privacy Policy

This page sets out what data quikcalculate.com (“Quikcalculate”, “we”) handles when you visit the site or use its geometry tools (the “Service”), and the choices you have along the way.

Privacy at a glance

  • The calculators run entirely in your browser. Whatever you type into a calculator never reaches our servers.
  • No account is needed — there is nothing to sign up for and no profile is created.
  • We keep server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps, requested pages) purely for security and reliability.
  • Contact messages you send through the contact form reach us by email so we can reply.
  • We do not sell data, and no advertising or social-media trackers are embedded in the site.

What stays on your device

Every calculation — side lengths, areas, angles, units and the results derived from them — is processed locally in JavaScript. The values you enter are not transmitted, not stored, and not linked to any identifier. Closing the tab erases them.

What we do handle

  • Technical request logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting layer records each request: your IP address, the browser and operating system you report, the time, and the URL. These logs exist to detect abuse, debug outages and keep the Service fast.
  • Messages you send us. When you write to us through the contact form, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you provide. We use them solely to answer you; the message is relayed to our mailbox at [email protected].

What we deliberately avoid

  • No user accounts, logins or passwords.
  • No payment processing on this site.
  • No advertising scripts, analytics beacons or social widgets — the pages carry no third-party trackers.
  • No intentional collection of the geometry values you enter; inputs are treated as disposable browser state, not personal data.

Cookies

At present the Service sets no cookies of its own. Should a future feature ever require one, this policy and (where the law demands it) a consent prompt will appear before it activates. You can always clear or block cookies through your browser settings without losing access to the calculators.

Purposes and legal bases

We process log data and correspondence on the basis of legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): keeping the Service secure, preventing misuse, and answering the questions you send us. Where optional features would require consent, we will ask for it before anything is switched on. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

Sharing and disclosure

Your information is not sold, rented or traded. We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers (hosting, DNS, email delivery) who process data strictly on our instructions. We may disclose information where the law compels us, or where necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of the Service and its users.

Retention

Request logs are kept for a short operational window and then removed or anonymised. Correspondence is retained only as long as needed to resolve your query and maintain a basic record of it. When data is no longer required, it is deleted.

Safeguards

The site is served over HTTPS, and access to logs and the contact mailbox is restricted to the people who maintain the Service. No system can be guaranteed perfect, so we also keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small — the less we collect, the less there is to protect.

Your rights

  • EEA / UK: you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to processing, or lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
  • California: the CCPA/CPRA gives you rights to know what is collected and to request its deletion; the Service collects no “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.
  • To exercise any right, write to [email protected] or use the contact form.

Children

The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the age set by your local law). If you believe a child has sent us personal information, tell us and we will delete it promptly.

Updates to this policy

We may revise this page as the Service evolves. Material changes will be flagged on the site, and the date below always reflects the current version.
